Camping in the Groveton Area: There is space at the "Y" for people to camp,
provided they have self-contained campers. However, if they are intending to stay in tents
or do not have rest rooms in their campers, we will call Smith's Septic System, the ones
that supply our porta-potties for the marathon, and ask them to drop a couple of
porta-potties at the "Y", one mile out of town where Hwy. 287 & 94
intersect. If they want electricity and water hook-ups, they can call Liz or Henry
Holcombe and stay on the rodeo arena grounds, across a little creek from there. Liz
Holcombe runs the Trinity County Abstract office, and her number is 936-642-1698 or
642-0998 or their e-mail address is trinitycoabst@consolidated.net
Please contact Cheryl McMahon at cherylrm460@gmail.com or 936-642-1715 for more details about camping.
