and take it to the race site from 7:00-7:45 AM.
Events:
5K, 1 Mile (age 12 and younger), Lazy
Gator (Non competitive, non running, non walking,
spectator event. Participants may arrive at any time with your own chair to cheer
on the runners. Participants receive a t-shirt and a spot to place your comfy
chair. The ultimate activity for an arm-chair coach. )
Course description:
The course starts by the boat docks on Lake Houston, winds around on
a scenic jogging path throughout Duessen Park, and ends back at the open air pavilion
where the post race celebration will be held. Stollers are permitted, however, we
request participants with strollers move towards the back behind the walkers. Please use

Directions:
From I-59, go East on Beltway 8. Take a left on Lake Houston. Turn
right on Deussen Parkway.
From Kingwood: Go South on West Lake Houston Parkway towards the Beltway. Turn left
on Duessen Parkway (this is in Summerwood, at the stoplight with a gas station with
McDonald's on the left). Turn left on Duessen Drive. This takes you into the park.
Continue straight until you reach the open air pavilion near the lake.
Packet pickup and race day registration:
Greentree Elementary, Friday, May 13th from 7:30 AM until 4
PM. 3502 Brookshadow Drive, Kingwood, TX 77345. (281) 641-1900. Packet pickup
starts again at 7:00 AM on race morning at Duessen Park. Race day registration will be
available - please print out an APPLICATION
to speed up the process. Weather:
Temperatures may vary from 60-75 degrees.

Time Limit:
This event is walker and velocity challenged participant
friendly.
T-shirts:
Each participant will receive a shirt. Register
by May 6th to guarantee shirt size. We will do our best
to accomodate those who register afterwards.
Pre-race Announcements:
For the Gator 1 Mile (ages 12 and under) race
announcements and instructions will start at 7:45. The race starts at 8:00 AM sharp.
For the Gator 5K race announcements and instructions will start at
8:30. The race starts at 8:45 AM sharp.
Aid Stations:
There will be water available at the start/finish line and at the
1.5 mile turnaround. Toilets are located near the start/finish line.
Bag Drop:
There will be a drop bag location area near the starting line.
Awards:
Everyone receives a plush finisher gator. 1st, 2nd and 3rd
place in each age group will receive an award.
Post race:
Snacks, fruit, and drinks are available while you cheer on the other
runners as they finish.
Results:
Finishing results will be available on the website.
The Charity:
The net proceeds of this race will be donated to Greentree
Elementary to promote health and fitness.
